My Father was born on a farm in the west of Ireland.The home place is called Cloonawillian,in the village of Crusheen (croisin) ,Co Clare (An Clar).
Its a beautifull place.Some of these pics are taken from around the area,and neighbouring villages and counties.
The Burren in Co Clare and Connemara in Co Galway have very unique,yet similar landscapes.Lots of stone instead of the green grass everyone associates with Ireland.
I lived in the town of Ennis (Inis) in Co Clare for nearly 10years.I highly recommend that if you go to Ireland on holiday,go to the west coast.All along the west coast of the country.There are amazing beaches,great surfing,amazing landscape and very friendly locals.
The food is great,especially in little fishing villages and small country towns and pubs.There is always music,sometimes ceili dancing and if your really lucky,a local storyteller.

BUNRATTY CASTLE,CO CLARE IRELAND Here is some history on Bunratty Castle I have copied from the Bunratty Castle folk park page. If your ever in the area,you should really check out the folk park.The summer time is the best.The locals dress up and work at the park.Its a fully functioning and working folk park.The banquets held in the castle are amazing.The food is all either grown at the park or sourced locally.The Banquet is a great experience,with great food and brilliant entertainment. Bunratty Castle The site on which Bunratty Castle stands was in origin a Viking trading camp in 970. The present structure is the last of four castles to be built on the site. Early History Robert De Muscegros, a Norman, built the first defensive fortress (an earthen mound with a strong wooden tower on top) in 1250. His lands were later granted to Thomas De Clare who built the first stone castle on the site. About this time Bunratty became a large town of 1,000 inhabitants. In 13
